JOB RESPONSABILITIES / ROL
• Windows systems administrators within Santander need a high level of technical knowledge regarding Windows server setup,
deployment, support, and maintenance.
• Experience in PowerShell, Ansible & automation tools is required to automate repetitive tasks.
• Windows systems administrators should understand best practices and techniques to maintain and enhance information security
• Windows systems administrators will need to interpret error logs, monitor system performance data, and assess user information to
ensure server reliability.
• Windows systems administrators need effective written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Windows systems administrators often need to employ creative and technical problem-solving techniques while installing, configuring,
and maintaining Windows systems and servers within service controls.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
• Experience of Windows 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008, 2003 and Failover Clustering in a large scale, data centre environments.
• Experience with the operation, administration, and support of a large VMware infrastructure
• Experience of patching Windows servers
• Ability to support Windows in a physical and virtual environment.
• Experience working within a VMware infrastructure
• PowerShell / Automation tools
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience of IBM BigFix to create and execute automated admin and analysis jobs
• Nutanix hypervisor experience
• Citrix experience
• Migration & upgrades of legacy Windows Server Operating Systems to supported versions e.g. upgrades of Service Packs as well as
migrations & upgrades from Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 to supported Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 versions
• Ansible scripting and execution
• Netbackup client install and management
• ServiceNow (or similar ITSM toolset) for managing incidents, requests, and changes
• Experience of SCOM 2012 R2 and later versions of this monitoring application
• Dynatrace dashboard creation, configuration and have the ability to tune metrics.
• Logical analytical skills.
• Professional self-presentation skills to support incidents and management.
• Ability to take ownership of problems to a timely satisfactory conclusion.
