SANTANDER-Senior Developer Python

Role Summary

We are looking for a senior Developer to join a backend platform team building high-throughput, distributed services. You will design and ship production code and own non-trivial pieces of the architecture end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and batch-processing pipelines used across multiple business lines.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and adherence to CI/CD best practices.

• Contribute to the evolution of the platform architecture, proposing improvements in performance, resilience, and scalability.

• Participate in incident resolution and root-cause analysis for production issues.

• Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and runbooks.

• Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
